Dress Shopping!

Sorry for yet another absence!  I’m back at work and busy as ever, but that doesn’t mean that I haven’t been thinking about and planning for the wedding!  Today I went dress shopping with Mom.  As I previously mentioned, it’s quite hard to find what I want in Regina.  Most of the dresses are so heavy, both visually and literally!  I did find two that are potentials though, so that’s exciting!  One, if I purchase it, I’m going to embellish a bit.  I can never just leave things alone – I always have to add to them in some way!  Tomorrow Sandy, Mom, and I are going to a bridal show, so that should be fun.  Fingers crossed that I win some prizes!

Paul and I are quite happy that we have all of the major things booked – church, hall/caterer, Creative Touch seat covers, and now the photographer.  After meeting with a couple and emailing about thirty or so for their price lists, we decided to go with Carey Shaw.  Her work is so beautiful and is exactly what we want.  Plus, she’s totally personable and down to earth, so I think it will be really fun to work with her.  You can check out her awesome work here.  Be sure to check out her blog as well!

I have about a million ideas for things that I want to make now – I just need to start doing one thing each weekend or something like that.  In the mean time, here are some great pictures.  Enjoy!

As always, flower pictures.  I love the colours and flower choices in these little bouquets.

This is pretty much exactly what I want to do, just with slightly different flowers.  Speaking of which, I found dried peonies and dried hydrangeas on ebay and won them!  I can’t wait to see what they look like!  If they’re nice, I will order more, as they are MUCH cheaper than the real thing and in the pictures, they look pretty much the same!

This bride’s mom put up a poster at her work (Curves) asking any women to drop off cut flowers at her house on the wedding day to use in bouquets.  Apparently her whole doorstep was filled!  I should do something like that lol!  I love how they used the vases as table numbers too!

That’s a really cute idea!

The picture on the right is what I wanted to post.  I really like the idea of getting a huge frame and using it to hang the table numbers and seating arrangements!

A fun favour idea.

And finally, an awesome photo.  I love the vintage umbrellas!

Have a great week everyone!
